My Career:
I was born in Portugal and moved to the United States in middle school. In school, I discovered my love for physics and studied physics at the undergraduate and graduate levels. During this time, I studied a phenomenon called sonoluminescence, where small bubbles in water can become as hot as the sun. Years later, I was craving a new challenge and decided to apply my quantitative analysis skills to finance.
My Role:
I am a Quantitative Analyst on the Front Office Quantitative team. We help traders price and understand the risk of their positions. It is a fast-paced environment where we tackle challenges by analyzing data, developing analytical models, and programming. I have leveraged cryptocurrency positions to generate $130 million in profits on a $50 million account on multiple occasions and was named one of the top ten best analysts in New York in 2020.
Julio worked at Citibank as a Quantitative Analyst and Managing Director for 14 years.
In 2010, Julio became a Vice President at Citibank.
In 2013, Julio became a Managing Director at Citibank.
In 2019, Julio was appointed Managing Director of Citibank.
My experience: As his fame grew and more and more investment fans followed him, Citibank banned employees from using WhatsApp. Julio resigned from Citibank on October 10, 2021 and started his own brokerage firm.
My job: Julio’s brokerage firm currently has more than 500 top analysts around the world, focusing mainly on stock hedging and cryptocurrency hedging transactions. He also created multiple WhatsApp groups in the United States and shared them with all fans for free.
